Top Idaho Holiday Events

Holidays are here!  And, since I am an enormous proponent of anything celebratory, especially around Christmas and New Year’s Eve, the next few blog posts will be holiday-centric.  For ease, I am categorizing the holiday event schedules by state.  Enjoy!

Idaho Holiday Events

Bogus Basin

A festive New Year’s Eve party happens at Bogus Basin, every year.  And, if you are in the area, there are many different activities run by the Bogus Basin Ski Education Foundation.

Sun Valley

Sun Valley has a number of joyful events occurring in December!  Sun Valley Powder Festival, Share the Spirit shopping, Breakfast with Santa, tree lighting, caroling, gingerbread decorating, Nutcracker on Ice, and the 5th Annual Classical Christmas Concert are just a few activities to enjoy!

Light-up the Night features a slopeside fireworks show, torchlight parade, pray for snow bonfire, and a sit-down dinner.  Other activities can be found at Brundage's website.

You can enjoy a day on the slopes with Santa!  Ski with Santa and ring in the new year at Schweitzer!  Additionally, there is a NYE Tween Party that will include games, snacks, crafts, contests, jumpy balls, and a midnight toast.

You may love Tamarack's Traditional Yule Log Burning and Bonfire!  This tradition of the yule log began in the early 1700's in Europe. The burning of the yule log gave families the chance to pledge a hope for the coming year with happiness, love, luck, warmth, riches and food. Take part in this years celebration by writing your message and placing it on the log.
